Initial Impressions:
Beauty and The Beast at St. Martin's School.

Several platforms that are dressed like  books make the overall visual impression. Various layers of books and pages create the levels, steps and hiding places for props and actors.  The 2-d trees have portions painted with UV paint.  These portions, when lighted with black lights, reveal the castle.
More Specifics Ideas Follow:
PRESET: The center Book is closed w/ logo embossed.
PROLOGUE: The Book is opened, unfurlling a curtain.  The parted curtain creates the castle doors:
SCENES ONE AND TEN > A VILLAGE: as the Prologue ends, actors rip the curtains from the Book, and we seque into the village. Perhaps a fountain, a cart and the bookstore sign are brought on...
SCENES TWO AND EIGHT: THE FOREST AND CASTLE ENTRANCE.  Maurice travels into the forest. As he approaches the castle, a door opens on the book cover to reveal the castle entrance.
SCENES THREE, SEVEN, NINE, ELEVEN AND THIRTEEN: CASTLE INTERIOR. UV painted castle details are revealed throughout. Collonade rolls out, flanking the main steps.
SCENES FOUR AND TWELVE:  BELLE'S COTTAGE.  The cottage facade "pops up" from sl book.
SCENE SIX:  THE TAVERN: The well unit is placed in reverse to reveal the fireplace/w a chimney attachment.  Tavern tables are set by crew. Gaston's easy chair can be practical or the edge of a book, perhaps..
